The return of the gardens

Editorials

Like every month, I’m taking you on a little tour of the world’s garden centers, just to see how it all works. The return of the gardens

! The pages of our gardening friends on Facebook are full of good ideas to share… Let’s take advantage of them!

The return of the gardens

It takes a whole morning to go around Facebook subscribers… But hey, it’s worth the detour. Once a month, I visit the subscribers of the Garden Consumer Guide on Facebook to bring out some well-targeted posts. Garden centers around the world are looking for the most effective communication to increase their followers and bring people to their store. We all have something in common, or almost, that is the use of social networks to talk about our plants and our products.

For the CMs here or there, you will draw inspiration from these different publications. I hope so !

And for those who are too lazy to read this editorial to the end, we will be able to talk about it in person during the launch conference of our Garden 2025 Consumer Guide which will take place at the Salon du Végétal, in Angers, on Tuesday 10 September at 4:45 p.m. in the greenhouse area.

We’re waiting for you to chat… in the garden of course!

Lacoste Garden Center

We start with Canada. More precisely in the southern suburbs of Winnipeg. The city of Winnipeg is right in the middle of the country, close to the border with the USA.At Lacoste Garden Center, the CM explains to us: “There is still time to grow new trees or shrubs that will enhance your garden!Adding shade and color to your space, our team of plant professionals will love helping you find what you’re looking for!Stop by this weekend and check out some of the specials happening in the nursery now! Basically, there is still time to plant before winter, then the snow will cover the ground and you will have to wait until spring before going back to crafting outside! “.Here is the address of Lacoste Garden Center:2787 St. Mary’s Rd, Winnipeg, MB, Canada, Manitoba

Sloat Garden Center

We are now going down to California. North of San Francisco, a stone’s throw from the Golden Gate, is the Sloat Garden Center. This large garden outlet is loaded with plants. This week, the publication invites us to “steal” the good idea by creating containers with sage and lobelia.“Steal that idea!! Create a combination of low-maintenance, high-impact containers in your favorite pottery. This favorite features mixed combinations for added charm!Vibrant Salvia, cheerful periwinkle, and cascading Lobelia.   »How can we find ideas to encourage consumption at the end of summer? In California or Berry, the challenge is the same!Sloat Garden Center:2700 Sloat Blvd, San Francisco, CA, United States, California

Mediterraneo Garden Center

Return to the old continent, to Italy more precisely. We are at the very bottom of the boot, in the heel, like the stomach! It must be very hot in the south of the peninsula. The nearest town is Gallipoli, do you know it? Mediterraneo Garden Center is offering promotions on garden furniture at the end of August. 25% discount to empty store stocks! Ultimately, it’s quite close to the French publications!“Don’t miss 25% off all garden furniture!   You have until September 20 to transform your outdoor space with elegance and convenience. Take advantage now!   »Visit: www.mediterraneo.gardenAnd for the address, if you want to go there after your visit to Florence to order next year’s plants: Via Rocci Perrella 5, Alezio, Italy

Wolu Garden Center

We change locations and we go to Belgium, to our friends at Wolu Garden Center. Getting your bearings is easy, we are in Brussels! Simple and effective, the publication concerns leeks, now is the time to order them. And since these are boots, if you hope to have a chance of getting some, you will have to order them before going to the store. For vegetable garden enthusiasts and leek lovers, have we found the right address?“The leeks are here Attention limited stock…! »I’ll give you the address if you feel like it:Chaussée de Louvain 7, Woluwe-Saint-Etienne, Belgium

The end

That’s all for this month. If you wish, we’ll see you in October with another batch of garden centers…In the meantime, be well and you will see, we will definitely do better than next spring. The sun is going to shine on all the nurseries, we’re going to be a hit, that’s for sure 😀.Don’t forget to come visit us at the plant fair, for the record, it’s in Angers… See you soon!
